Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan's Purse, an international Christian relief organization headed by Franklin Graham, that collects gift-filled shoeboxes and delivers them in the name of Jesus Christ to children living in desperate situations around the world.
Since its beginning in 1993, Operation Christmas Child has delivered over 200 million shoeboxes to children in more than 170 countries on 6 different continents. It is the largest Christmas project of its kind in the world.
Since 2009, over 30 million children have participated in The Greatest Journey, the 12-week discipleship program developed by Samaritan’s Purse to teach children who receive shoebox gifts to know and follow Jesus Christ. To date, there have been 15 million decisions for Christ. To God be the glory!
